They are one of Bollywood’s most-loved jodis. However, speculation was rife till a few months ago that Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were not so madly in love as they were last year. The sexy diva was away in the US filming for XXX: Return of Xander Cage while Ranveer was busy with Befikre. A report in a leading tabloid suggests that Ranveer was probably instructed by Aditya Chopra to avoid frequent PDAs with his ladylove. It was nothing more an usual PR-driven exercise to maintain a certain image. This was done to keep the focus on the film, which looks like a naughty romance flick. The actor plays a raunchy lover-boy in the film and needed to be seen as an eager single ready to mingle. Well, no prizes for guessing that the film is Befikre. The actor plays the role of Dharam, who seems quite eccentric and wild at the same time. He is paired with Vaani Kapoor, who essays the character of Shyra Gill. The film is scheduled to release on December 9. The actor is now prepping up for the role of Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmavati. It seems a source further told the tabloid that the embargo or should we say ban was till 15 days before the film’s release. This perhaps explains why Ranveer and Deepika were not seen at all in public nowadays. However, everyone who was wondering if there was trouble in paradise, doubts were cleared when the two walked in hand-in-hand at the recent party thrown by the Ambanis. The couple clearly looked very much in love. However, it was reportedly one of the last public outings of the hot actor as he will go into hiding quite soon.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period epic, Padmavati will soon go into floors and the actor will prepare as extensively as he did for Bajirao Mastani. We know that Bhansali is a taskmaster and Ranveer is more than happy to give his best to the filmmaker. So, no events, endorsements and public outings for him forget the couple. Deepika Padukone decided to opt for a black and white ensemble for the Esquire Awards night which was held in Dubai yesterday. We admire her choice of outfit but knowing the fact that Deepika can carry anything and everything off so easily, we wonder why she chose the safe way out? She could have opted for something better which was a bit more risky and not so plain. But the fact that she ditched gowns and opted for power dressing is worth appreciating.

This celebrity couple was in Dubai recently to collect their individual awards for Interational Man and Woman of the Year. Deepika Padukone’s tuxedo was a well thought garment had she carried it off well
The choice of the outfit for the evening was bang on and she carried it off well. But the only reason why we are disappointed with her is that she chose to remove her tuxedo and collect the award in plain white corset and high waisted trousers. Had she retain the jacket and collected her award, then it would have looked really well. Nonetheless we are happy that she was awarded with the International Woman of the Year award by Esquire.

Seriously Ranveer, please explain us why did you opt to wear those glasses for Awards night last evening? We know you and quirk always go hand in hand but this was a bit weird, wasn’t it? Probably the star should also get awarded for the best risk taker of this year. His outfits deserve a round of applause and the way he carries them should also be appreciated.
