1. Pendaftaran acara TPC semarak Agustusan dimulai sejak tanggal 14 sampai 31 Juli 2008. Setelah tanggal 31 Juli 2008, pendaftaran akan ditutup.
   
2. Pendaftaran dilakukan dengan mengirimkan komentar berupa nama, url blog, kategori lomba yang ingin diikuti : lomba posting atau lomba foto ( tidak diperkenankan memilih keduanya ), dan pada akhir komentar anda harus menuliskan jargon "Merdeka" dengan gaya kalimat masing masing.
   

1. Tulisan bertemakan : Upaya kamu dalam mencintai tanah air Indonesia.
   
2. Tulisan minimal 500 kata
   
3. Tulisan bisa diposting sejak tanggal 1 Agustus hingga 14 Agustus.
   
4. Penilaian terhadap lomba posting ini akan dilakukan tanggal 15 - 16 Agustus 2008.

   • Orisinalitas
     
   • Kejelasan
     
   • Keunikan


6. Penilaian lomba posting akan dilakukan oleh juri yang telah terpilih.
   Pengumuman pemenang akan dipublish pada blog TPC pada tanggal 17 agustus 2008.
   
7. Ketentuan lain : foto menambah nilai plus dalam lomba posting.

1. Karya foto asli
   
2. Karya bukan hasil rekayasa digital
   
3. Karya belum pernah diikutsertakan dalam lomba.
   
4. Setiap peserta menampilkan pada blog masing-masing 1 (satu) foto dengan mencantumkan judul, lokasi, tanggal pemotretan, dan jenis kamera (digital atau manual).
   
5. Cantumkan link upload gambar foto anda yang memuat foto dengan size asli pada blog.
   
6. Objek foto yang diambil menggambarkan semarak suasana 17 agustusan tahun 2008
   
7. Pengumuman pemenang akan dipublish pada blog TPC pada tanggal 17 agustus 2008.
   
8. Lomba foto ini dilihat dari seni/teknik memfoto.

So Ive recently had the opportunity to review a truly unique website called Lobster Network.

Lobster Network is in fact, an acronym. It is as follows...


It looks a little confusing, but actually it really isnt.

Imagine having an online catalog of all of your books, curriculum, dvds... anything you want to categorize with the capability of loaning (even selling) these items to your friends or neighbors. You could view your friends items and borrow from them as well. Need an item back? Send your friend a nice email reminder to return the item. This is what Lobster Network is all about.

By far, the best part about this website is that membership is free. There is absolutely no fees attached to creating your account and sharing your stuff!

I do actually think this concept is quite intriguing and can think of several situations where this might come in handy. Perhaps your homeschool co-op would like to start a lending library and needs a way to track it? Even just sharing your books among a small group of homeschool friends could really help during trying financial times. Lobster Network allows you to create separate groups and choose which items you share with each group.

Man Sentenced for 5 Months for hacking sodahead com

38-year-old Michael Pullen of Dry Didge, Kentucky, has been sentenced to five months in prison and two years of probation after hacking into several accounts on the social networking website SodaHead.com.

Pullen didn’t cause any damage. Instead, he hacked into the accounts of those who posted homophobic and racist comments and replaced their posts with something less offensive, nky.cincinnati.comreported.

He used a software vulnerability to gain access to the accounts he targeted.

The defense lawyer argued that his client was simply a prankster and he shouldn’t have been sentenced to jail. However, SodaHead.com representatives claimed that Pullen’s hacking posed a threat to the company. They were desperately working to find the vulnerability leveraged by the hacker.

For this, Pullen will also have to pay $21,000 (€15,000) to the company.

The man was sentenced under the controversial Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA). However, legal experts argue that this is a “fairly straightforward application of the law.”

“We might want some type of restriction against accessing someone’s private space on a computer – even if it is done as a prank,” noted Eric Goldman, an expert in Internet law. 

“Having said all of that, it isn’t clear whether this was all that harmful. There was probably some teeth gnashing, but what other damages were incurred from his intrusion?” he added.

Pullen started surfing SodaHead.com in 2009 after losing his job. He exploited a bug in the social media network to hijack accounts. 

He claimed he only did it for around two weeks, but he quickly attracted the attention of the US Secret Service. 

Agents showed up at his house in March 2010. However, he was only charged in November 2012. He will have to turn himself in to a federal work camp in Ashland by October 21.
