If your a girlie girl like me, then youll probably find this box of pretty pinkness irresistible!
I have tried quite a few of the products in the set before, including: melting marshmallow moments, think pink, rock star, twilight, creamy candy and the comforter (wow nearly all of em actually!) And I cant lie, I love them all!
Twilight and the comforter are two of my all time favourites and I would highly recommend them to the the girl who likes a sweet, sugary scent. Actually, if that sounds like your type of smell, you cant go wrong with the whole lot really!
Im looking forward to trying the products which are new to me, and, like wise the ones ive used and loved in the past, and Im sure once their all used up ill let let you know exactly what I thought.

Lush Lust List
Lush Lust List

Do you have a scent that, as soon as you smell it it instantly transports you to a special time or a certain place? Maybe its freshly cut grass or it could be a favourite perfume. For me it has to be Lush. Not one scent or product in particular, just that scent you get when you walk past the store, or treat yourself to a selection of goodies and stick your head in the bag! It reminds me of being 19 and starting my You Tube journey, I was obsessed with Lush and a Lush haul was my first video. I know it might sound silly and insignificant, but that really was a happy time in my life. I started my online store and began making videos and I just threw myself into it without knowing where it would take me and the amazing opportunities Ive had since. So I guess link the scent with that time.
So sometimes when I need a little pick me up, I head to Lush and pick out a few things as a treat. Usually some old favourites mixed with a couple of new products or at least one thing I havent tried before. Heres a little run down of what I got recently.
American Cream Conditioner: I just LOVE this stuff. I dont use it all the time, but I like to get a small bottle every now and again as a hair treat. Its super creamy and makes your hair feel incredibly soft and silky. Plus, if youre a fan of strawberries and vanilla scents like me then this is a winner!
Strawberry Feels Massage Bar: Did I mention I like strawberry scents? Im not going to lie, strawberry is my favourite of all the smells in life! And this massage bar just smells like a dream. It works great as an all over body oil treatment. It starts to melt into your skin really quickly and feels very luxurious. The scent lasts for ages too.
Million Dollar Moisturiser: This is the one that I got for Christmas, but I wanted to include it because it really is fantastic. Its has quite a thick, creamy consistency, so not one for when you need to apply makeup straight away. But given time to absorb, it makes the perfect base, leaving you with glowing skin that just looks so much healthier. Plus it contains a sunscreen which is so important, even in the winter months
Tisty Tosty Bath Bomb: Such a beauty! This is definitely one for the floral fans, I love that each one contains 7 rose buds. Its scented with Rose oil, lemon and jasmine oil and its perfect for a pre Valentines date bath.
Roses All The Way Soap: Im generally least attracted to the soaps in Lush. Just because I find bar soaps quite drying. But I just had to try something from the Valentines Day collection and this looked perfect. It contains rose oil and syrup so Im hoping it will be quite moisturising and convert me into a solid soap lover. Ill let you know my thoughts once Ive tried it out!
What do you think? Are you going to be trying any of these out? Or do you have any recommendations for me? Tell me your all time favourites in the comments!
Love Kate x

Lush Life
Lush Life
Through no merit of my own, Ive been sprawled in the lap of luxury for the past several days. This is one of those spa hotels where the spa is a real spa, not a couple of beige, palm-infested rooms containing a second-rate manicurist and a broken jacuzzi.
The service is polite, prompt, and discreet. The food is excellent. Theres an art gallery, a meditation garden, and the floral arrangements are superb.
The lounge affords a tableIm sitting at it right nowthats the perfect size and height for work, with a view of the terrace and the little lake.
It would be paradise enow if it werent for some of the other guests.
Most days Ive been surrounded at this table by Ladies Who Lunch, though to be perfectly accurate I should write Ladies Who Drink. Another vodka stinger? Oh, Mister Sondheimtruly, you have no idea. You could float the Queen Mary on the joy juice this lot runs through before noon.
Just now I was unwillingly privy to a trio who were discussing the reasons an applicant to their garden clubnewly arrived from another statewould not be admitted. Her sins included wearing the wrong shoes to a party, and using the Latin names for flowers when the conversation turned to gardening.
Im a raging capitalist, yet I keep drawing little guillotines in the margins of my notebook.
Nevertheless, work progresses. Im not here to drink and gossip, Im hear to do what I usually do in the workroom and the coffee shop in a room with live plants, a harpist who takes requests, and what Im pretty sure is an actual Chihuly.
The Tour de Fleece has ended, but my wrap-up for that will have to wait for my return home since thats where all the stuff is.
But the Victorian bathing drawers are here, and Ive reached the point of adding the crochet edging to the leg openings. A glimpse, below.
The crochet edge makes perfect sense. The design of this piece attempts in every way possible to combat the inevitable, horrid stretch that will occur when the drawers hit the water; and of course crochet stretches far less than knitting. This also helps to draw in the leg openings a bit and prevent the peekage I was worried about in the last post. Not to mention that it looks good.
Knitting and crochet: perfect together. When I wrote this for the Lion Brand blog I damn well meant it.
Ive now been able to do a real fitting of the drawers, and Ill be if they dont fit well and look rather cute.
No pictures of that just yet. And no pictures of me wearing them until the Nautical Knitting cruise. If you want to see them first, sign up to join Melissa Leapman and me in December...
