Looks for Pokemon Gym Leaders
Todays post is a day late, and for that I apologize. Why? Because Ive been playing Pokemon Go during my breaks. Yup, as a late-nineties kid Pokemon was my jam when I was younger. I remember playing my yellow game with my Gameboy color (my brothers got blue and red) and, later, my crystal (to their gold and silver.) It was the best thing ever for long car rides, even the late night ones where I had to squint at the screen in the fleeting light of passing cars and street lamps (because this was before the Gameboys screens were backlit.)
Anyway, Pokemon Go is the wildly popular new game which takes the Pokemon world (first gen) to your neighborhood, using augmented reality and google maps to place Gyms, Pokestops, and Pokemon around you. Ive been playing since it came out, wandering all over town.
Back in the day I thought the looks for Pokemon trainers, especially the gym leaders and their fun thematic looks, were pretty badass. So todays post are some ideas for what to wear dominating the gyms in your town (at least when I take the local gym back from BigBallzConnor.)
Fuck you, BigBallzConnor.

Malala Urges World Leaders To Act For Refugee Children
UNITED NATIONS: Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai on Monday urged world leaders gathered for the first-ever UN summit on refugees to not waste time with a “pageantry of sympathy” and act to guarantee schooling for refugee children.
The United Nations is hosting on September 19 the first summit on refugees and migrants, which will be followed the next day by a pledging conference for new offers of aid to refugees hosted by President Barack Obama.
Malala, who become the youngest-ever Nobel recipient for championing the rights of girls to education, urged leaders to reject short-term solutions to the refugee crisis now affecting 21.3 million people, including nearly four million children.
Every refugee child should have access to 12 years of schooling, she urged.
“Refugee girls are wondering how long they can stay out of school before theyre forced into early marriages or child labor. Theyre hoping for more than survival,” Malala said in a statement.
” Why do world leaders waste our time with this pageant of sympathy while they are unwilling to do the one thing that will change the future for millions of children?” she asked.
A report by the Malala Fund and Cambridge University showed that nearly two-thirds of the 3.7 million refugee children and teenagers worldwide were out of school.
For every 10 refugee teenage boy in secondary school in 2015, there were the equivalent of just seven girls.
The report called on governments to provide $2.9 billion by September 2019 to a new fund to support education for out-of-school refugee children.
