Hi guys, i recently purchased a new router (asus rt-ac66u) and i can't get my 3rd gen apple tv to work with it, even though it used to work perfectly with my previous no-name router issued by my isp.. My setup: (500 mbps)fibre ont bridged to asus rt-ac68u(router) with an asus rt-n66u(another room) as an ap, both run latest merlin builds. all are wired with cat6 cable. used latest merlin because i thought it was an issue with asus firmware, same problem.. Asus router is a revolutionary app to manage your home network. asus router app can help you get better experience with your asus router by easily setup, monitor, manage, and control it..
I looked at the asus rt-ac68u, apple airport extreme, and netgear r7000. i decided against the asus only because of this ongoing issue and i couldn't justify the cost of the netgear.. This setting controls which channel your wi-fi router uses to communicate. set to: auto. for best performance, choose "auto" mode and let the wi-fi router select the best channel. if this mode isn't supported by your wi-fi router, choose a channel that's free from other wi-fi routers and other sources of interference.. Appletv (airplay) with the asus rt-n66u the other thing i tinkered with was the 5 ghz and 2.4 ghz networks on the asus router. i had previously had them both set the same ssid name and hadn’t experienced issues, but one forum thread indicated this might be a problem with airplay. ipad, galaxy s3 to my apple tv! thanks so much for.
